Tour Summary

Learn the history of Rwanda – through an orientation tour of Kigali, featuring: The Genocide Memorial Centre, the Museum of Natural history, Old and New Kigali, amongst other key highlights; a lunch at one of Kigali’s popular restaurants or at the Hotel Mille Collines – which forms  part of the Rwanda history. This is followed by a smooth and not so long a drive to the Volcanoes National Park, for your up-close and enthralling experience with the gorillas. Your tour is concluded with a visit of the beautiful Lake Kivu – for some beach activities, such as     boat ride, Lake swimming, or local sight-seeing.                                                         


Day 1: Arrival Kigali - City Tour/Volcanoes National Park

Morning arrive into Kigali – to an orientation tour of Kigali City, including the genocide museum and museum of natural history.

Enjoy lunch at one of Kigali’s popular restaurants, before driving in the afternoon, to the Volcanoes National Park for overnight.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park - Gorilla Trek/Lake Kivu

Morning Gorilla trek, followed by lunch at your lodge.

Afternoon, drive to Lake Kivu for overnight.

Day 3: Lake Kivu - Leisure/Kigali/Depart

Spend the morning at the shores of Lake Kivu, with optional leisure activities.

Lunch at your hotel.

Afternoon, drive back to Kigali - with onward transfer to the airport for your evening outbound flight.
